It is a light yellow powder crystalline powder. As the powder is heated, it changes color from darker to more light. It has a specific gravity of 7.16 grams per cm3, a melting point of 1473°C and a boiling point at 1750°C. The temperature at which it melts is 850degC. It becomes subliminal and green. How is Tungsten Oxide WO3 Powder produced?
Tungsten trioxide is prepared in many different ways. The CaWO4 or scheelite can react with HCl in order to make tungstic acid. It then decomposes at high temperatures to WO3 (or water).

An alternative method of synthesizing WO3 in common is to calcinate ammonium paratungstate under oxidizing conditions.
